This is an Android blog that seeks to help Google Android users to make the most of their phones and tablets. We do not try to cover all things Android — Lord knows there are tons of blogs that already do that.

Instead we try to help the user find the best apps for their Android devices. This blog is not an app directory either. Instead we focus on providing roundups and reviews of the best apps in categories and niches that are proven to interest Android device owners and fans.

That said, this is a great place to find a roundup of the best-rated and most popular Android:

  • Antivirus apps
  • Security apps
  • Entertainment apps
  • Productivity apps
  • Cell phone tracking apps
  • Bible apps
  • Games and
  • Apps for staying in shape… etc

Who is Behind BestAndroidAppsfor.comPic: Steve McFarlane

My name is Steve McFarlane. I founded BestAndroidAppsFor.com (BAAF) in 2010 after being frustrated by an exhausting search for an Android blog that provided lists of the best apps for certain uses.

Instead I found websites with random listings of individual apps, Android news I didn’t care about and reviews that assumed I was going to change my phone whenever a new one came out.

The objective here is to make it easy for you to find the best Android apps according to themes, niches, and applications. To compile each roundup we search the market for the best apps by:

  • Seeking out those that have social proof (above average user ratings, a higher percentage of positive comments, a high # downloads or rising popularity) and
  • Looking at how well the candidate app actually works

I know the domain name/URL (BestAndroidAppsFor.com) is not easy to remember and all that catchy, but it highlights what the blog is about — to provide roundups of the best Android apps for all sorts of uses.

I write most of the roundups on BAAF, however I do work with other Android fans who make guest posts from time to time.  If you write well and are an Android fan we may be able to work together.

We do not accept everyone who volunteers to contribute guest posts though — see the guest post guidelines for more info.
